18. “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
19. “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven (Mtt18:18-19) .
As nations of the world are flexing their muscles over Rissia-Ukraine war and their anger almost reaching the boiling point! As the threat of yet another world war is escalating which might trigger a nuclear war! As the economic consequences of this war plus the metamorphosing covid are biting hard in our daily living!
The question is , ” what can the church do in this hour of dire need“? Should we sit idly and watch by irresponsibly? Or should we become another bunch of talkers ? Or should we join the countless miserable murmuring folks, complaining about sky rocketing commodity prices?
The stance of the Church in such an hour as this is in serious question!
The Bible is full of historical accounts of men , women , nations and people who encountered eminent trouble in their time and the only source of deliverance they was to turn to God in prayer!
All humanity in the earth today are facing eminent trouble and we cannot play the old ostrich tricks ! The church has the solution because we have God who said, ” I am the God of all flesh is there anything to difficult for me“ (Jer32:27) !
In our text, God has given us the blue print of how to stop this trouble that is rearing its foot at the threshold of our doors! Let come together in one accord and ask the God’s of all flesh to handle the unhandlable, shake the unshakable, uproot the un-uprootable, stop the unstoppable, remove the unremovable, and quench the unquenchable fire and anger…..
