16. “Now when I had delivered the purchase deed to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to the Lord, saying:
17. ‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You. (Jer32:16-17) .
26. Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying,
27. “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me? (Jer32:26-27)
Every sensible human being in the earth today is feeling the effects of the global turmoil because of the Covid-19 and Russia-ukraine war! Insensible men have risen over and again in this earth in times past and they have caused untold pain in countless innocent lives! The Bible has a historical account of such men , like, pharaoh of Egypt who killed countless Jewish baby boys in the river nile & oppressed their Jewish parents with forced hard labour & slavery! I think you remember this arrogant giant of Gath called Goliath, You remember Haman who wanted to be worshipped and when Mordecai refused to do so he planned to wipe out all the Jews.
Nebuchadnezzar was another very successful king of Babylon was so proud because of his greatness.
We cannot forget king Sennarcharib of Assyria who attacked Judah in the time of king Hezekiah and mocked the Jews so badly!
The list is so long. But we all know how God handled these men one by one! God buried pharaoh in the red sea with all his armies and chariots ! God dealt with Goliath and used a small Young boy David to destroy him and brought freedom to Israel. God sent one Angel from heaven and destroyed all the armies of assyria in one night and the king was killed by his own son and Judah was free. You know how Haman ended by Being hanged on the post he has planned to hang Mordecai on. Remember how God drove king Nebuchadnezzar from human being into the forest and he became like an animal for seven seasons.
I will not do you a de-service by not reminding you of Herod who had made killing the Apostles of Jesus a fun and one day God sent an angel who slapped him to death!
The message is simple ! God is the God of all flesh and God has authority over every human being living under the sun. God will raise up one and pull down another!
God resists the proud and exalts the humble! There is no man on earth who is too big for God to handle! God is the God of all flesh!
Let’s us pray that God will stretch out His right hand on earth and let His will be done according to His sovereign power.
What should we do as the Church when insensible men threaten the very existence of humanity on earth? we should do what Mordecai and Esther and Jews did! They prayed to God when thier very existence was under real threat because of Haman and the God of all flesh intervened supernaturally and Haman was eliminated and the whole world enjoyed peace and rest.
