26.For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
27.For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28.There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29.And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise (Gal3:26-29)!
Every person who is saved by faith in Christ is God’s son, and have been baptized into Christ and we are all one in Christ! We are all Abraham’s seed (because of faith in Christ) and we are heirs of God!
Its our sonship that guarantees our inheritance! My sons are my heir and therefore God’s sons are His heirs!
A son is entitled to all his father’s possession and has the privilege to enjoy them freely according to the father’s will. Jesus said, ” All things that the Father has are Mine...” (Jn16:15) .
Inheritance is not earned it is only freely received by sons. The prodigal son knew the sonship rights and he received his portion (although he did not know that the father-son relationship is more important than the inheritance), but the second son’s problem was his ignorance of the inheritance principle ( he tried to work hard to earn what his father had and he sadly got nothing)!.
God’s will is that His sons would enjoy all that He has freely given to us as sons through faith in Christ in the context of a healthy relationship with Him (1Cor2:12).
