4. Now it happened, when they spoke to him daily and he would not listen to them, that they told it to Haman, to see whether Mordecai’s words would stand; for Mordecai had told them that he was a Jew.
5. When Haman saw that Mordecai did not bow or pay him homage, Haman was filled with wrath.
Mordecai is another example we see in the Bible who was a faithful God fearing man who faced a very difficult challenge in his workplace as a result of his faith.
Mordecai was a jew and God fearing and lived according to God’s commandments. Mordecai worked as a gate keeper at the king’s palace
Haman worked in the govt in a high profile position and he got a promotion. Men were required to bow before him but Mordecai could not because of his faith in God.
News came to Haman that Mordecai refused to bow before him. Haman became mad at Haman so much that he made a plot destroy not only Mordecai but all the Jewish community in the empire!
Many Christians have been suffering in workplaces because of their Faith. Unbelievers in workplaces are free to do anything whatever their bosses demand for the sake of keeping thier Jobs. Many directors and leaders in big positions use their offices to manipulate, abuse, control, cheat their subordinates.
Haman was a leader who wanted glory and could eliminate anyone in his workplace by death whoever could not bow before him. Many leaders in top offices are intoxicated by so many evil schemes and want every one in the organization to bow to their evil demands and desires.
Christians have two options: some for fear of loosing their Jobs give to the sinful ways at the workplaces but those who refuse to succumb become victims and are punished in many ways.
But Mordecai prayed and fasted together with the Jews and God vindicated them.
Be faithful even unto death and God will give you the crown of glory!
” When men crucify you God will glorify you“.
Amen.
