18. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20. teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Mtt28:18-20
Christ who died on the cross and rose from the dead left satan authority-less! Satan by subtilty usurped Adam of authority that had been given to him by God to rule and subdue the earth. Adam sinned and satan stole authority from him and satan instead began to rule and subdue mankind and the earth.
Jesus Christ came as our redeemer, put on flesh to redeem mankind and when He died on the cross and rose from the dead satan was judged, condemned and destroyed and stripped of all authority! Christ who died on the cross and rose now has all authority in heaven and on earth. Christ by His death on the cross has redeemed mankind and the earth and reconciled them to God!
We who have been redeemed by his blood have been given authority by Christ and now we have authority of Christ over satan and his cohorts (Luk10:19) … Christ’s redemption is not only limited to the church but to the earth and heaven, not limited to our healing , deliverance and salvation from sin but to nations , cities and communities, not limited to Christians but even to kings, presidents and all men ….(1Tim2:1-3) .
Therefore as we watch the chaos going on in the world, there’s something we have authority to do! We have authority over nations because of the death and authority of Christ. We exercise this authority to see things changed through Prayer.
Lets us pray for the world, nations, kings, presidents, cities , and let God intervene for Christ’s sake and let His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
